Requirements for rehabilitation of old metallic structures through welded reinforcements
Eng. Sebastián Laprida
Civil Engineer graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires (FIUBA). Specialized in design and construction of reinforced concrete and metallic structures. He has ventured into the use of innovative techniques, such as the use of fibers as a concrete reinforcement, and of compensators and retraction reducers to obtain high performance concretes. For more than 10 years he has used and carried out non-destructive trials as a work and quality control tool in the works in which he is involved. He is a member of the Association of Structural Engineers (AIE). Since 2015 he is a member of the Non-Destructive Tests Committee (CEND), where he currently is President of the Board.
